Carl (Jim) Noeth, 86, of Clinton passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Faxton St. Luke’s Health Care surrounded by the love of his family.

He was born on February 12, 1932 in Albany, NY. A son of the late Carl and Mary (Paluba) Noeth. He was a graduate of the Christian Brothers Academy in Albany and he attended RPI.

In 1951 in Albany, NY he was united in marriage to Marcia Gibney a blessed union of nearly 50 years. Mrs. Noeth passed away in 2001. He later was united in marriage on March 1, 2003 to Julia Hart. This was a blessed union of over 15 years, filled with much love and mutual devotion.

Mr. Noeth was a draftsman for General Electric in Schenectady and later in Utica, retiring in 1992 after 40 years of dedicated service.

He was a life time member of the Utica Elks Lodge #33, Knights of Columbus Council 189, the Sons of the American Legion Post 1376 in New Hartford and a communicate of Sacred Heart/St. Mary’s Church.

He was an avid hunter and fishermen who also enjoyed gardening. He also was very good at fixing just about anything that was broken. He was called upon many times by family members to help with many projects. He was always ready, willing and able to help at any time.

He is survived by his wife, Julia Noeth of Clinton, his children, Donna (Richard) Moll of Rochester, NY, Mary (Stanley) Wuest of Holland Patent, William (Mary Lourdes) Noeth of Barneveld, and Jon (Angie) Noeth of Austin, TX. He also leaves eight grandchildren, David (Rachel) Moll, Nicholas and Eric Moll, Kimberly (Dennis) Esch, Daniel and Michael Noeth, Michael (Dagney) Noeth and Jon (Melissa) Noeth, also nine great grandchildren. He leaves a daughter-in-law, Fleur Noeth and a Sister-in-law, Frances Noeth of Rochester, NY. He was predeceased by his son James Noeth in 2016 and a brother, Gerard Noeth.

The family wishes to sincerely thank the 3rd floor staff of Faxton St. Luke’s Health Care Allen-Calder Wing, Dr. John Robertson, the doctors and staff of Mohawk Valley Nephrology Associates, his dialysis nurses, his driver Tod from A& D Transport and Tina, Andrea, & Christina. Your many acts of kindness and compassion will never be forgotten.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday January 8, 2019 at 10:00 AM from the Dimbleby Funeral Homes Inc. Forty Main St. in Whitesboro and at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart & St. Mary’s Our Lady of Czestochowa Church in New York Mills where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Arthur Krawczenko. Interment will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Sacred Heart & St. Mary’s Our lady of Czestochowa Church, 201 Main St; New York Mills, NY 13417 in his memory. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
